​The old familiar phrase well-meaning people say when they don't know what to do with someone else's grief. This phrase shows up at funerals, in HR conversations after a layoff, and in the silence after a friend says the thing that changed everything.

​In the face of disruptive life events, most of us have lots of words. But because the world doesn't know what to do with them, we often stop looking for them entirely.

​In this 90-minute interactive virtual workshop, we will use wordplay, poetry, and writing prompts to practice putting language to the harder parts of life, the ones that may never have a tidy caption.

This workshop is about reclaiming that language—learning how to name the heavy things you've been carrying, and how to hold them even when others can't.
