Meet Katie
Nice to meet you!
I’m a wearer of many hats - probably like you.
Some of my favorite roles include coach, writer, facilitator, mom, daughter, and friend. I hold a BA from the University of Colorado and am a graduate of Stanford's Applied Compassion Training. I am also a certified Grief Educator, and an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation.
I wrote Grief Cookies & Other Comforting Things, an essay collection on loss, healing, and finding beauty after sudden death in 2025 because I believe in searching for the good and beautiful right alongside the hard and darker parts of life.
My personal grief story informs my coaching practice, and I have over ten years working in the organizational development space, speaking and facilitating workshops rooted in collaborative leadership models. After losing my dad unexpectedly in 2016, I began searching for new ways to put words to difficult experiences - both at work and in our personal relationships. I’m less interested in polish than I am in commitment to curiosity and trying again.
I believe the world needs more space for connection, creativity, and community and we get the privilege of creating those experiences together.
I live in Northern Colorado with my two daughters, husband, and sweet old dog Olive.
I love partnering with people who are curious about what life may be asking of them next. Schedule a conversation with me using the button below!
